Community initiatives

Reaching up. Reaching out.

“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” - Mark 10:45

One of the things that characterized Jesus’ life while here on earth was His heart for service. One that continues to be experienced through the Church at large. Here at Trinity we are honoured to play a small role in what continues to be a global spreading of His love for all people, every where. Our motive is set by His example, our actions are propelled by His unconditional love, and our desire is to share hope, peace, and love where ever and how ever we put our hands to work.

Here is a list of the many initiatives that we are involved in throughout the year.
Twice a week, our food pantry is open to those in our community who are in need.

Every Tuesday from 10 am-12 pm, we have engaging activities for parents and their children, such as crafts, finger plays, play dough, colouring, story time and sing-alongs.

Every Friday from 7 pm-8:30 pm, we offer activities for both boys and girls as a way to connect with our community and for kids to make new friends in a learning environment. We have crafts and baking for girls and sports-related activities for boys, such as basketball and floor hockey.

Every year in August, we have our summer day camp for kids for one week. There are a ton of activities and the opportunity for children to make new friends! Our volunteers are always excited to participate and have great things planned throughout the week.

KIDS’ FUN FEST (October 31)
We offer a safe alternative to trick-or-treating in a fun and family-friendly environment each year. From 6 pm to 8 pm, we have activities in our foyer and gym, including face-painting, games and much more. This last year we had pogos, chips and drinks for $1 each. To top the night off, each child received a generous bag of chocolate and candies to enjoy.
