Community initiatives

Reaching up. Reaching out.

“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” - Mark 10:45

One of the things that characterized Jesus’ life while here on earth was His heart for service. One that continues to be experienced through the Church at large. Here at Trinity we are honoured to play a small role in what continues to be a global spreading of His love for all people, every where. Our motive is set by His example, our actions are propelled by His unconditional love, and our desire is to share hope, peace, and love where ever and how ever we put our hands to work.

Here is a list of the many initiatives that we are involved in throughout the year.
Twice a week we have our food pantry open  for those in our community that are in need.

For the past 13 years, Trinity has reached out to less fortunate children and parents during the Christmas season. This event draws over 500 people annually and provides a fun environment for children and their families within our facilities. They receive groceries, a turkey and Christmas gifts for the entire family.  We are so grateful to the many companies that donate goods and funds to make this event happen. Check out our website to see all that we do. A big thank you to all our sponsors and volunteers who made this all possible.

Every Tuesday from 10am-12pm, we have engaging activities for parents and their children such as: crafts, finger plays, play dough time, colouring, story time and sing alongs.

Every Friday from 7pm-8:30pm we offer activities for both boys and girls as a way to connect with our community and for kids to make new friends in a learning environment. We have crafts and baking for girls, and sports related activities for boys such as, basketball and floor hockey.

Every year in August, for one week, we have our summer day camp for kids. There are a ton of activities and the opportunity for children to make new friends! Our volunteers are always so excited to participate and have great things planned throughout the week.

KIDS’ FUN FEST (October 31)
Each year we offer a safe alternative to trick-or-treating in a fun and family-friendly environment. From 6pm to 8pm we have activities in our foyer and gym, including face-painting, games and much more. This last year we had pogos, chips and drinks for $1 each. To top the night off, each child received a generous bag of chocolate and candies to enjoy.
