Here's what you need to know for the coming weeks!

We are coming close to Gideon’s first victory as leader of a small group of men who challenged a whole army following the instructions of God. The task this Sunday is understanding what it means for the world to see who Christians are. As Jesus said, “No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light…”

• How do your co-workers, neighbours, classmates, and family members see you? What understanding of Christianity do they learn from your life?
• Have you experienced situations where you understood that God gave you an opportunity to shine a light of truth or forgiveness, and you missed it?

Let’s learn from the strategy and courage of Gideon and his men this Sunday! Blessings to you and your family today.

All teens are welcome to join us on Saturday, August 12th for a full day of fun and fellowship! We will be joined by the NorthPoint Youth Group who came all the way from Edmonton and will be helping us out during VBS! Sign up as soon as possible to take advantage of the group rate of 35$!

Our next Water Baptism is taking place on Sunday, September 17th!

If you plan on obeying Christ’s command to get baptized in order to demonstrate your faith publicly, then we invite you to sign up for our next Baptismal service. By signing up, you are committing to attending a mandatory 4-week preparation course in which we will cover the following topics:

• Who is Jesus and what does it mean to follow in His footsteps?
• Learning to talk to God and hear His voice
• The importance of reading the Bible and attending church
• The meaning and impact of water baptism

The classes will be held on the second floor in the Board Room on the following Sundays at 10am:

• August 20th
• August 27th
• September 3rd
• September 10th

Parents and kids, save the date for this year's VBS taking place August 7th to 11th. Registration takes place on Sundays after both services. Come see us at our registration table by the entrance doors. Simply be on the lookout for balloonsand follow the music … you can't miss us!  Cost for the week is $25 per child or $40 per family.

Trinity is hosting a Bible Readthrough, starting with the book of Genesis all the way through to Revelation. These reading sessions take place in the chapel every Tuesday, from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. Each week, a certain number of designated youth will each take turns reading passages out loud as everyone else follows along. All are welcome as we read through the Holy Scriptures and piece the stories together.
Join us this coming Tuesday as we pick up from Genesis chapter 41.
