Hi ,
Join us this Sunday as we witness the ordination ceremony of Mykhaylo "Misha" Khromyak who is currently the Teaching and Online Engagement Coordinator here at Trinity. A leader from the District of Quebec will take the time to explain what ordination means and will lead us in a prayer before our congregation to recognize the leading and divine appointment of God in Misha's life. We encourage you to take the opportunity to congratulate Misha and his wife Natalia after the service.

Persecution of Christians and mockery of Christianity was always a part of world history and is an ongoing situation today. The tragedy of our time is that many Christians seem to be okay with this state of affairs; others even behave childishly, exposing their lack of reverence for God in their midst. We invite you to read 1 John 2:12-14 and join us in a journey to restore reverence. In this regard, reflect on the following questions:

• Why do people who know and love God show irreverence in their behaviour?
• How does growth in the Christian faith involve a growth in reverence?
• How does my experience with God result in honouring Him?

VBS begins this Monday, August 7th to August 11th. Come see us at our registration table by the entrance doors after the service for your last chance to register. Cost for the week is $25 per child or $40 per family.

All teens are welcome to join us on Saturday, August 12th for a full day of fun and fellowship! We will be joined by the NorthPoint Youth Group who came all the way from Edmonton and will be helping us out during VBS! Sign up as soon as possible to take advantage of the group rate of 35$!

The Men's Ministry will be holding a men’s fellowship breakfast at a local restaurant on Saturday, August 19th at 8:30am. If you haven't registered in the past, please email Nathan Lysak at nathanlysak@gmail.com for more information and to be added to the list.

Our next Water Baptism is taking place on Sunday, September 17th!

If you would like to take this next step in your walk with Christ, you're invited to sign up for our upcoming four-week Baptismal Preparation Class in which we will cover the following topics:

• Who is Jesus and what does it mean to follow in His footsteps?
• Learning to talk to God and hear His voice
• The importance of reading the Bible and attending church
• The meaning and impact of water baptism

These sessions will be held on the second floor in the Board Room on the following Sundays at 10am:

• August 20th
• August 27th
• September 3rd
• September 10th
